Statement of Faith
We believe that the Bible is God’s word is living and active, helpful in discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12), inspired by God through the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21), good for teaching, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe Scripture is intended to be a part of our walk with God. The words are to be read, obeyed (Luke 11:28), treasured, and proclaimed to set us free (John 8:31-32). They are unmoving in an ever changing world (Matthew 24:35). It leads us (Psalm 119:105) and it is true (Psalm 33:4).
We believe reading scripture is a huge part of our walk with God in discovering the depths of His love for us, and sustaining us through hardships of life. (Jeremiah 15:16)
We believe as the bible is living and active, it is applicable to your daily life. When we read our Bible, the Holy Spirit will illuminate what God desires our hearts to receive in the moment.
GOD | JESUS | HOLY SPIRIT
We believe Jesus, God’s only Son, was sent to earth to be crucified and defeat death (Matthew 27-28) to save sinners like us from our sinful nature in our past, present and future (Matthew 1:21). We believe that Salvation is only possible through Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).
We believe we are made in the image of God.
Nothing can separate us from God’s love. No one is exempt.
It doesn’t matter where we come from and what we’ve been through, we are all one in the eyes of Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28)
We believe if we confess our sins God is faithful in forgiving us and cleansing us from our unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Jesus Christ was sent to us to save us from the hold of sin (1 Timothy 1:15) and that is the ultimate act of love (John 3:16). we believe God is patient in our repentance of sin (2 Peter 3:9) . We are all imperfect (Romans 3:23) and deeply loved (1 John 3:1).
...God is present when we gather together in His name (Matthew 18:20).
...God delights in us as we love, support and share in suffering with others (Galatians 6:2).
...We are created to encourage each other, lift each other up, and to be intentional in our time together (Hebrews 10:24-35).
The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs.
